This is the second wrap I have bought for myself, along with 4 other ones in the short version for each of my bridesmaids. I love the wrap more than the kimono because its thicker, heavier, and has a lined later. I love the velvet trim as it makes for a much more luxurious feel and pretty much live in this at home! We are so thrilled to be able to share photos after the wedding and are so thankful Kim + Ono have made such gorgeous pieces that support the AAPI community as well.
When I first slipped into it, I immediately became a turn-of-the-century bohemian. It is buttery and has good weight...and I would wear it continuously if I weren't afraid of wearing it out. It is luxurious, silky...the velvet is soft like, well, velvet should feel. The seams are meticulous. I am picky, picky and good seams just make me starry-eyed. If you love Boho, this robe is a life-changer in a float-around-the-house kind of way. Highly recommend!
I bought the Haruka robe as a gift for a special friend. She loves all my gorgeous kimono robes so I bought her one for Christmas.
Stacey is a wonderful person & friend & a disabled Veteran. I met Stacey through my son who met her & found out she was homeless! Both my son & I were very upset that one of our Wounded War Hero's had become homeless because her landlord didn't care that Stacey's VA & Medicaid benefits had been sent to the wrong address & returned to the VA & SS! She tried to show him proof but he didn't care & put her belongings on the street! My son went & got all that was left of her things & brought them home to our house. I had not even met Stacey yet as she was in the hospital recovering from another operation. My son Peyton picked Stacey up from the hospital & brought her home & I have "adopted" her as a daughter! Stacey gave over 13 years of service to our country & almost gave her life.
Stacey absolutely loves her Haruka robe. Thank you Kimono for creating such gorgeous robes that help us feel luxurious! I hope all at kimono have a Blessed & prosperous New Year. Vickie
I have a number of gorgeous Kim +Ono kimonos. I have been thinking about this wrap and am so thrilled I finally got it. I love that in addition to being beautiful it also has pockets. I wish all your kimonos had pockets
