If you’re anything like us, you may have waited until the last minute to do your holiday shopping. Never fear, we’ve got you, lovely! It is a whirlwind of a season, and you’re doing everything from hosting parties, to attending your kid’s school events, to coordinating with Santa on holiday gifts, so if you’re running a little late on a few holiday to-dos, you’re not alone.
That’s why this week in the journal, we’re compiling a list of some common questions that come up during the holiday season. Whether you’re a veteran kimono robe gifter, or this is the first silk kimono robe you’ve ever gifted to friends or family, we have curated a list of answer to common questions that can help you find exactly what you need in the exact right timing that you need it. How long will it take for me to get my package?
Our standard processing time is two business days, and our Free No Rush 10-Business Days can take up to ten business days for you to receive your order. Often it’s shorter than that, but we have no way of guaranteeing how long it will take. At this point in the season, we highly recommend expedited shipping for every order so that it arrives in time for Christmas. Remember, business days do not include weekends or holidays, so please kindly be aware of this when calculating when your package should arrive. If you order your modern kimono robe gifts before 12pm PST on a business day, we do our very best to send it out the same day, but it can still take two business days to process as the holidays are very busy. If you’re in San Francisco, you can pick up your online order at our kimono store in Chinatown! Simply choose “in-store pickup” as your shipping option at checkout.
For international orders, our processing time is two business days and our only shipping option is indeed already an expediting shipping option. International orders will take 3-5 business days to ship. Kindly note, those business days do not account for weekends and holidays.
I’m sending this as a gift, will there be pricing information in the package?
None of our packing slips have pricing information on them so they can always be used as a gift receipt! Whether you choose a patterned kimono robe or modern kimono wrap, all your gift recipient will see on the packing slip is the style, the shipping address, and a gift message if you choose to add one! In the event they need to exchange their gift for any reason, they can use that packing slip as their gift receipt.
How long do I have to return this kimono robe if I need to?
We currently offer extended holiday returns for anything purchased in October, November, or December 2021. You can return these orders through January 31, 2022 and see our full extended holiday return policy here.
How do I figure out my gift recipient’s size?
We only have two options for sizing of our patterned kimono robes and wraps — “One Size Fits Most” or our Curve Collection with plus size kimono robes. You will need to know your gift recipient’s exact measurements, and you’ll be able to see the exact measurement details on every product page under ‘SIZING’ to give you the most accurate idea of fit. Make sure you double check each modern kimono robe you’re browsing, as sizes will slightly vary from style to style. Kindly note, the length accounts for the length from the top of the shoulder to the bottom of the hem. The width accounts for the kimono robe wrapping comfortably with about two inches of kimono fabric on each side for the maximum measurements.
Can I apply multiple promotion codes to one order?
We can only apply one promo code per order. This means, if you choose our Free Gift promotion that runs during the holidays, you won’t be able to use a second promo code for the same order.
I made a mistake! Can I change my order?
It happens, and no problem! As long as your order is still processing you can make any changes via your confirmation email by clicking on ‘EDIT/CANCEL YOUR ORDER’.
Can I calculate duties fees before shipping my international package?
You will certainly be able to see customs fees and duties before you checkout. You’ll need to change the flag to the correct country and enter your shipping address. From there, the system will show you how much customs duties and fees will cost if you prepay at checkout. You can also wait until delivery to pay these fees, but we will not be able to guarantee how much those will cost. Customs fees are set by the country to which you’re shipping, so we do not have control over how much you are quoted.
Would my gift recipient be able to exchange this kimono robe for a different one?
Yes! As long as your gift was not a final sale item, any regularly priced item is welcome to be exchanged up until January 31, 2022. Your gift recipient can email our team with their order number found on the packing slip and we’ll help them from there!
Can I purchase items I saw in your store online?
Our kimono store and online shop operate totally independently from each other, so you will need to reach out directly to our kimono store to purchase items from there, and we hope you do! All the details on store hours and the store’s phone number is here.
Can you gift wrap my package for me?
We do not offer gift wrapping services at this time. We are a small family business and a tiny team of ten folks, so unfortunately we do not have the bandwidth for individual gift wrapping. However, all of our beautiful silk kimono robes come hand-tied in frosted or cotton bag and the packing slip leaves off pricing information so it can serve as a gift receipt. If you’d like to wrap this gift at home, we do have gift wrap supplies for purchase here.
This is a surprise for someone I live with! Is there branding on the mailer?Yes, our mailers do come with a branded logo on the front. However, US orders do also have the option of a Standard Unbranded Shipping Box at checkout if you’d like your silk kimono robe to arrive undercover!
